Arkansas Student Intervention System launched!

Arkansas Student Intervention System launched!

The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) is pleased to announce a new system to manage and monitor student interventions, the Arkansas Student Intervention System (ASIS).  The system was piloted with six school districts in Spring 2014 and will launch for all school districts in August 2014.  The launch parallels implementation of the eSchoolPlus student management system.

ASIS is web-based and allows educators to create Intensive Reading Interventions (IRI) and Academic Improvement Plans (AIP) for enrolled students in the areas of Mathematics, Literacy, and Science.  ASIS provides educators with the ability to monitor student progress and modify student interventions depending upon the needs of the student throughout the school year.  In addition, teachers may also generate a Student Academic Report (SAR) to be printed alongside the AIP or IRI. The SAR provides a snapshot of the students overall academic status and is typically used a discussion piece with the student’s parent or guardian.

Built based on educator feedback, ASIS was designed to provide educators with intervention information in an accessible, intuitive, and easy to use format.  ASIS will integrate with the Arkansas StudentGPS dashboards, which will also be available to all districts in August 2014.
