Arkansas StudentGPS Dashboards - Opened to All Districts!

Arkansas StudentGPS Dashboards - Opened to All Districts!

The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) is pleased to announce all school districts will have access to the Arkansas StudentGPS Dashboards beginning in the 2014-2015 school year.  StudentGPS was available to all eSchoolPlus districts in the 2013-2014 school year, and the majority of districts eligible to use the dashboards opted to take advantage of this no-cost tool for teachers and administrators.  As a prerequisite, districts must use the eSchoolPlus student management system in order to use the dashboards. The dashboards require no additional data beyond what is already entered into eSchoolPlus.

Reviews from educators have been positive and focused on the ease-of-use and the breadth of daily-updated student data.   The dashboards enforce FERPA privacy protections (student data is restricted to those with a legitimate educational interest) and operate under Single Sign On.

Examples of data in the dashboards include:

  • Student Demographic Information
  • State & Local Assessment Data
  • Grades & Credits
  • Daily and Classroom Attendance
  • College & Career Readiness Indicators
  • Local assessment data for DIBELS 6th, DIBELS Next, DSA, DRA, & STAR NEW!
  • Interventions for students NEW!
  • Dynamic Watch Lists NEW!

Arkansas Department of Education ARVA Portal System launched!

Arkansas Department of Education ARVA Portal System launched!

The Division of Research and Technology has built a new system in the form of Arkansas Department of Education ARVA Portal System (AAPS). The system was launched on May 8, 2014 and will be used by ADE, Division of Fiscal and Administrative Services and Arkansas Virtual Academy (ARVA); LEA # 6043700 staff (using Triand log-on credentials).

The portal will update after each enrollment cycle with information that shows students enrolled in ARVA for the quarter and their corresponding enrollment for the first three quarters of the prior school year. This data will be used for billing schools that have lost students to ARVA. The data will be used by ARVA to verify that their application data matches the ADE data.
