Fiscal Year - The fiscal year that this reporting represents:For the 2024-2025 reporting year fy must be = 35
Cycle - The reporting cycle for which the data is submitted:
LEA, School -Local Education Agency, the unique seven-digit number assigned by the ADE to identify individual county, district, schools, cooperatives, and vocational institutions. The first two digits represent the county, the second two digits represent the district, and the last three digits represent the individual school, for example:
Safety Data (August - May) - Arkansas public schools are required to hold safety drills throughout the year. We strongly recommend that staff take time at the beginning of school to discuss and explain the expected procedures for each type of drill.
Lockdown Drill - At least one (1) Lockdown Drill per school year. It may occur any time during the year; but reported June 15th (Cycle 7). (A.C.A. § 6-15-1303 )
Earthquake Drill - At least one (1) Earthquake Drill per school year in areas susceptible to earthquakes, as determined in consultation with local Emergency Management Personnel. It may occur any time during the year; but reported June 15th (Cycle 7). (A.C.A. § 6-10-121)
Fire Drill - No less than one (1) Fire Drill per month during the school year. There are three (3) reporting periods in which schools will submit data for the prior months: November 15th (Cycle 3); February 15th (Cycle 5); and June 15th (Cycle 7). (A.C.A. § 12-13-109)
Tornado Drills - At least three (3) Tornado Drills per school year. There are three (3) reporting periods in which schools will submit data for the prior months: October 15th (Cycle 2); February 15th (Cycle 5); and April 15th (Cycle 6). (A.C.A. § 6-10-121)
Type of Safety Drill - There are four types of safety drills school districts are required to perform.
T = Tornado Drill (Cycles 2, 5, 6)
Commissioner’s Memo FT-22-001 – removes time requirement from reporting (renewing as long as COVID-19 precautions are in place)
Date and time of safety drill
Date of Safety Drill - The month, day and year the school held the safety drill. Must be a valid date greater than 08/01 of the current school year.
(Note: Not Required for Lockdown Drills)
Hour of Safety Drill - Enter the hour of the day the drill occurred, between 6 and 18 (24 hour clock). It is assumed drills will occur between 6 am and 6 pm.(Note: Not Required for 2022-23 due to COVID-19 Precautions, and zero may be used.)
Duration of safety drill.
Duration of Safety Drill - MINUTES - Enter a minute numbered from 0 to 59. The number of minutes the drill lasted. (It is assumed no drill lasts longer than one hour.)

Duration of Safety Drill - Seconds - Enter the number of seconds from 0 to 59. The number of seconds the drill lasted.
